The music thumps out of the loudspeakers, and the stage is dark. A searchlight swings back and forth, searching for someone to brave the chanting crowd. An image finally emerges from behind the curtain, and he weaves his rhymes as the crowd screams and yells his name. “Mighty Mystic! Mighty Mystic!”

He stormed the stage in a leather coat with Celtics gear underneath, complete with energetic dancer and he brought the house down. Performing songs from his upcoming album Exposure, including “Roll With Me”, his debut single “Friends”, and his upcoming single titled “Been so long” features Tanto Metro and Devonte.

He hails from Jamaica, and Mighty Mystic who just turned 23, is not only an artist he is also the owner, CEO, and president of Label One Records. In an effort to focus more on his music Mighty Mystic developed a merger/partnership agreement between Label One Records and Jewels Entertainment on April 25th, 2001. The labels have recently released a video for his new single “Roll With Me”.

Mighty Mystic has performed with some of the biggest names in the business including Black Rob, Loon and the Bad Boy family, 112, Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Tanto Metro And Devonte, Ray Benzino and more. He is also working on a track with Kevin Little, whose single “Turn me up”, is seeing heavy rotation.

Mystic’s inspiration comes from his idol, Bob Marley, and although he says modestly that he can’t sing like him, he takes his passion for reggae and rap from Marley. He shares a culture with Marley, and he feels really good about his newfound fame. He felt it was confirmed when a fan came up to him after a show and told him that his show definitely rocked. “It’s my time to shine…” Mystic explains. “Music is something I always wanted to do, even as a kid growing up in Jamaica, other kids wanted to be doctors or firemen, I always wanted to be a musician.”
