Home | Back | Play the Video Brenda Davis, a native of St.Louis, Missouri, is a comedian/writer/ singer.
She studied drama in college but her main area of study was psychology.
After graduation and completing a two year stint as a rehabilition counselor,
where the staff and residents laughed at the hilarious way in which
she expressed her observations, she decided to go into stand-up comedy. Brenda recently starred in a short film for San Francisco State University's Instructional Media Department, entitled "How To Be A Comedian". Her television credits include guest star spots on local shows such as Gigi's Comedy Spot and The Dorothy Mullen Show. She has also appeared on Video West and in news shots from roasting done at the Black Angus Restaurant for a local publisher. Brenda was in-house M.C. for the now defunct Comedy Talent Showcase in the plush Plaza Airport Inn's Picadilly Room in Millbrea, California. She has M.C.'d talent shows at Stanford University, Fisherman Restaurant, Cypress House Restaurant in Half Moon Bay, California and has done roasting for various community and private groups. Brenda and five other women were the comedians for an all women's stand-up comedy night at San Francisco's Chi Chi Club on Broadway. She has performed at various other venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brenda considers herself a spiritual person whose hobbies include dancing, reading, casting horoscopes and having sex with a partner. |
